What are the first words that come to mind when you hear the name Kérastase?
"Nourishment, shine, volume, care, luxury... the brand offers products for absolutely every type of hair problem and Kérastase rituals all complement one another and always respect the hair. I have a very clear memory of the first two-person private treatment rooms we created in cooperation with Kérastase in our salon on rue du Four in Paris: They were spaces for real dialogue where two women, whether two friends or a mother and daughter, could have their hair taken care of together. This was all very new at the time and it was one of the most interesting ventures I ever undertook with the brand."
How would you describe the relationship between Kérastase and your salon customers?
"Unlike what I’ve seen with other hair care brands, real experts from the Kérastase brand are actually customers, too! They come into the salon with their own tips and knowledge of the brand. They already know what products suit them and they are extremely attached to the brand, its products and techniques. There is a real emotional tie."
In what ways do hairstylists work with Kérastase products and rituals?
"We consider the brand a beauty care partner and in our eyes, its products and rituals are true cosmetics for the hair. Just like fashion designers, we have to work on the hair itself before we give it shape and for that, we need products that are high performance. Thanks to the brand, the hair is enhanced, so all we have to do is give it shape, color or style."
